Companions in Colour Exhibition, Bankside Gallery
Press Release Companions in Colour Exhibition Bankside Gallery London 28th January to 2nd February
An exhibition celebrating the fruitful and enduring collaboration between Hugo Grenville and his students, many of whom have become successful artists in their own right, inspired by Hugo’s teaching and influence. As a group they share a passion for the conveying the transformational effects of light and colour in paint.
Hugo states that the artists are united by “the same excitement that I have for the precarious high- wire act of trying to describe the experience of living through the application of paint to canvas.”
One of Hugo’s alumni Deborah Menezes commented:
“Hugo’s paintings are a celebration of colour, and under his guidance I have learnt to paint and use colour effectively. He is a source of constant inspiration to us all and it is a great privilege to be part of this exhibition.”
